The Quicksilver 805223T is an OEM Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Assembly — also commonly referred to as a MAT (Manifold Air Temperature) sensor or Air Charge Temperature Sensor (ACTS) — designed for MerCruiser inboard and sterndrive engines. This is a genuine Quicksilver replacement part manufactured to Mercury Marine's original equipment specifications.

This thermistor-type sensor monitors the temperature of the incoming air stream and relays that data to the engine control computer (ECM), allowing the system to make precise fuel delivery and ignition timing adjustments for optimal engine performance. It can be installed in the intake manifold on EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) systems or in the air cleaner assembly, depending on engine configuration.

My initial review was 1 star because I ordered a Thule rooftop cargo box, but cancelled the order after Autoplicity called me about collecting extra money to ship the item after their website did not charge me enough for shipping. After my initial review Autoplicity offered to ship the item totally free since the issue was a flaw in their website. This was unexpected, above and beyond in my opinion. I have yet to receive the item but commend Autoplicity's customer service
