The Rule Industries 56D24 is a heavy-duty, non-automatic submersible bilge pump rated at 4,000 GPH (15,140 LPH) at 24 volts DC. Built to handle the toughest marine pumping applications, this high-capacity pump is engineered to deliver maximum output for its compact footprint, making it an ideal choice for large yachts, commercial vessels, and high-demand bilge installations.
This is a non-automatic (manual) model, activated by a separate external float switch or panel-mounted switch (sold separately), giving the operator direct control over pump operation. The 2-inch (51mm) discharge outlet accommodates high-volume water removal quickly and efficiently.
Key Features:
- 4,000 GPH (15,140 LPH) open-flow pumping capacity at 24V DC
- 2" (51mm) discharge outlet for high-volume water evacuation
- Completely submersible with moisture-tight Teflon seals
- Silent, vibrationless operation — water-cooled motor with stainless steel shaft
- Ignition protected — safe for use in fuel-vapor environments
- Will not burn out when run dry — safe for intermittent dry operation
- Anti-airlock protection for reliable priming and consistent performance
- Rust and corrosion-resistant construction for long-term marine durability
- Snap-lock strainer base for quick, tool-free cleaning
- Marine-grade sealed wiring for safe, reliable electrical connections
- Draws 6.9 amps — energy-efficient for its output class; recommended 15-amp fuse
As with all centrifugal bilge pumps, rated GPH is measured at open flow with no discharge head resistance. Real-world output decreases with lift height — approximately 5% per foot of vertical rise. For installations with a 3-foot discharge height, expect approximately 87% of rated capacity; at 6 feet, approximately 77%.
The Rule 56D24 carries cross-reference part numbers including 29-56D24 and 56D-24, and UPC 042237085207. It is ideally suited for large powerboats, sailboats, commercial vessels, and any application requiring maximum bilge pumping performance in a 24-volt DC electrical system.
