Product Details

The Sierra 18-3139 Impeller Wear Plate is a precision-engineered water pump component designed as a direct OEM replacement for Mercury and Mariner outboard motors. This wear plate serves as the critical flat surface against which the water pump impeller rotates, maintaining a tight seal necessary for efficient raw water flow and proper engine cooling.

Engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications, the Sierra 18-3139 directly replaces Mercury OEM part number 46895. It is commonly used in conjunction with the Sierra 18-3039 Impeller and Sierra 18-7409 O-Ring as part of a complete water pump service or impeller repair kit (Sierra 18-3239).

Key Features:

  • Direct replacement for Mercury/Mariner OEM part 46895
  • Meets or exceeds original equipment manufacturer specifications
  • Compatible with small gear case Mercury and Mariner outboard engines under 9.9 HP
  • Designed for use with Sierra 18-3039 impeller (OEM #47-89981-1)
  • Sold as a standalone impeller plate for targeted water pump repairs
  • Also available as part of the Sierra 18-3239 Impeller Repair Kit

Regular replacement of the impeller wear plate during water pump service helps ensure consistent coolant flow and protects the engine from overheating. Sierra is a trusted name in marine aftermarket parts, offering reliable quality for outboard motor maintenance and repair.

Excellent

The ordering process was very simple and the prices could not be beat. The processing time to ship the order was a little longer than usual, but for the price savings, it was well worth it!
