Product Details

The Tie Down Engineering 86029 is a zinc-plated steel roller shaft designed as a dependable replacement component for boat trailers. Measuring 5/8" in diameter x 9-1/4" in length, this shaft is precision-built to mount standard bow and keel rollers on trailer frames, providing a stable and secure pivot point for smooth trailer operation.

Constructed from zinc-plated corrosion-resistant steel, this roller shaft is engineered to withstand exposure to both fresh and saltwater environments, resisting rust and corrosion for extended service life. It is an ideal solution when replacing worn, bent, or rusted pins during seasonal trailer maintenance or refurbishment.

Key Features:

  • Zinc-plated steel construction for corrosion resistance in fresh and saltwater environments
  • Shaft diameter: 5/8" — compatible with standard boat trailer roller brackets
  • Shaft length: 9-1/4"
  • Includes 2 pal nuts (cap nuts) for secure, stable assembly
  • Drop-in replacement for standard bow and keel roller brackets
  • Manufactured by Tie Down Engineering — USA-based manufacturer established in 1969

Each kit includes the roller shaft and two pal nuts, providing everything needed for a straightforward installation. Tie Down Engineering part number 86029 (also referenced as 241-86029).

It was very simple to order the part I needed.

Fast shipping great product!

Easy transaction and fast free shipping. Can't ask for more.

Item was delivered on a pallet that appeared to have had a lot of care !

100% perfect all around, i will purchase from them again !!

It's the information I needed for my boat motor. The only issue I had with this maintenance manual was the way the manual was finished. I've worked the the graphic arts industry for 50 years and am well versed in print finishing. The book will no doubt stay together, however there is excessive glue on the spine as the cover wraps around the front/back that distracts from the overall appearance.
