About Covercraft: Decades of Custom-Fit Protection

Covercraft Industries has been a cornerstone of vehicle protection for more than half a century. Founded in 1965 by Bob Lichtman in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California, the company started as a two-man shop crafting custom car covers for import sports car and street rod enthusiasts. Today, it has grown into one of the most recognized names in automotive, marine, and recreational vehicle protection, headquartered in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, with manufacturing facilities spanning multiple states and Mexico.

What sets Covercraft apart from the competition is a relentless focus on custom fitment. Rather than selling generic, one-size-fits-all products, Covercraft has assembled a library of over 300,000 custom-fitted patterns — each engineered to match the precise dimensions of a specific vehicle year, make, and model. This obsessive attention to fit means their products deliver better coverage, cleaner installation, and longer-lasting performance than off-the-shelf alternatives.

A Full Range of Vehicle Protection

Covercraft's product lineup spans virtually every surface of your vehicle. Their flagship windshield sunshades — sold under the iconic UVS100 line — are custom-tailored to the exact contour of your windshield, featuring a triple-laminate construction with a foam core that reflects, absorbs, and blocks solar heat. Whether you drive a compact sedan or a full-size pickup, there's a Covercraft sunscreen engineered to fit your windshield precisely.

For whole-vehicle protection against the elements, Covercraft's car covers remain among the most trusted on the market. Available in a wide range of materials suited to indoor storage, all-weather outdoor use, and everything in between, these covers are cut from the same custom-fit philosophy that has defined the brand since its earliest days.

Rounding out interior sun protection, Covercraft's window shades bring that same precision-cut approach to side and rear windows — helping reduce cabin heat, protect upholstery from UV fading, and add a layer of privacy for parked vehicles.

Trusted Partnerships and Brand Reputation

Covercraft has earned trust not only through product quality but also through strategic partnerships with respected names. Collaborations with brands like Carhartt have produced co-branded sun shades and seat covers built with rugged, heavy-duty materials suited to working drivers. The company holds quality certifications including TS16949:2002 and ISO 14001, reflecting commitments to both manufacturing excellence and environmental responsibility.

The Covercraft family of brands has also grown through acquisition to include ADCO, Carver, Lloyd Mats, Marathon, and PCI — broadening its reach into RV, marine, and floor mat protection categories. Whether you're protecting a daily commuter, a weekend classic, a boat, or an RV, Covercraft has a purpose-built solution ready to fit.
