Product Details

The SeaStar Solutions SSX17720 Xtreme Tilt NFB Steering Kit is a complete 20-foot single-cable mechanical steering system engineered to deliver maximum steering efficiency with the lowest possible effort. Designed for single-station boats powered by a single non-power-assisted outboard engine up to V-6, this kit combines SeaStar's exclusive No-Feedback (NFB) helm technology with the high-performance XTREME steering cable for a notably smooth and precise on-water experience.

No-Feedback (NFB) Technology locks out steering loads caused by propeller torque, eliminating the constant effort required to keep the boat tracking straight. This internal clutch mechanism grips the steering shaft when you are not actively steering, significantly reducing fatigue — without the cost of a full hydraulic system.

Kit Includes:

  • (1) SHX97606 XTREME Tilt NFB Helm
  • (1) SH91800B Sport Tilt Mechanism
  • (1) SSCX6420 XTREME Quick Connect Steering Cable (20 ft)
  • Hardware and instruction sheets

Key Features:

  • 48 degrees of tilt range with 5 adjustment positions for a customized driving position
  • Quick-connect feature on both the steering cable and spent travel tube for fast, simple installation
  • Installs in the same mounting pattern and bracket location as most current SeaStar Solutions rotary tilt steering systems — little to no dash modification required
  • Compact footprint designed to fit small and tight dash helm stations
  • XTREME cable features a splined inner liner and powder-coated core for reduced friction, less backlash, and longer cable life
  • Helm constructed with zinc and plated steel for durability and efficiency
  • All SeaStar steering cables meet ABYC Safety Standards and ISO/IMCI/NMMA Certification
  • Made, designed, and assembled in the USA
  • Backed by a two-year recreational user warranty against manufacturing defects

Important Notes: SSCX XTREME cables are designed to fit XTREME helms only. SeaStar Solutions recommends NFB helms for all outboard applications. For dual-cable or high engine flutter applications, a dual-cable system is required. Optional solid round tilt cover (Sport Plus SH91900) sold separately.

Great Service

It was nice that they let me know there was a problem with my order

Order was correct and came quicker than I expected, I will definitely use Autoplicity again.

Autoplicity Highly Recommended!!! I placed an order on Monday and even though I used ground shipping I had that order in hand two days later on Wednesday! (Order Number: 17813) Fantastic PriceΓÇÖs and the Fastest Shipping on the web! Amazon Payments was fast and easy to use. I will absolutely be checking Autoplicity First for all my future auto needs. Thanks for the Great PriceΓÇÖs and Service! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the great service, best prices, and fast shipping!!!

I ordered the Truxport tonneau cover for my Nissan Frontier. I am very happy with Autoplicity, they have the best price by far on this product, and they promptly sent me an email when it was shipped.....the ONLY thing I wish they would have done but didn't is to include a tracking number. I think the reason they didn't include it is that it was shipped directly from the manufacturer, but they did give me the tracking number when I called and asked for it. Overall a very positive experience
