Johnson Pumps Wash Down Pumps & Systems
Johnson Pumps' Aqua Jet five-chamber diaphragm wash down pumps deliver quiet and pulsation-free operation, making them the preferred choice for boaters and RV enthusiasts who demand professional-grade cleaning performance without the noise. Part of the SPX Flow family, Johnson Pumps has built a reputation for engineering washdown solutions that withstand the harsh demands of marine environments while maintaining whisper-quiet efficiency.
Aqua Jet Technology: Five-Chamber Diaphragm Innovation
What sets Johnson Pumps apart in the wash down pumps and systems category is their proprietary five-chamber positive displacement diaphragm design. This efficient five-chamber design reduces motor speed, noise and heat build-up, allowing the pumps to run cooler and last longer than conventional washdown systems. With a higher pressure of up to 5 bar (70 psi), clean-up is faster and easier than ever before, delivering the kind of cleaning power needed to remove stubborn salt deposits, fish scales, and deck grime that accumulates during a day on the water.
The integrated pressure switch turns pump on and off automatically when the spray nozzle is opened and closed, providing demand-switching convenience that conserves battery power and extends pump life. This self-priming design handles both fresh and saltwater applications, making these systems versatile enough for any marine cleaning scenario.
Complete Aqua Jet WD Pump Kits
Johnson Pumps offers two primary Aqua Jet WD configurations: the 3.5 GPM and 5.2 GPM models, both available in 12V and 24V versions. Complete kits always include a high capacity Aqua Jet Wash Down Pump 3.5 or 5.2, hose strainer or PUMProtector inlet strainer, spray nozzle and the relevant connections – all in one package. The higher-flow 5.2 GPM kit includes a 25-foot coiled washdown hose, bulkhead fitting with valve, and illuminated panel switch, providing virtually everything needed for a complete installation.
The PUMProtector inlet strainer is a standout feature that extends pump life by filtering debris before it reaches the pump mechanism. Both BSP and NPT connections come standard, ensuring compatibility with various marine plumbing configurations. The quick-connect fittings simplify installation while allowing for low-cost maintenance down the road.
Built for Marine Durability
Due to their durable construction and thoughtful design, the WD-pumps will provide many years of service. Johnson Pumps constructs these washdown systems with marine-grade materials including PA/PPA bodies, nitrile valves, and Santoprene diaphragms—all chosen for their resistance to corrosion and degradation in saltwater environments. The self-priming capability up to 8 feet means these pumps can be mounted in convenient locations without worrying about losing prime, while the ignition-protected design ensures safe operation in all marine environments.
Whether you're maintaining a small fishing boat, a medium-sized cruiser, or an RV, Johnson Pumps Aqua Jet washdown systems combine the pressure, flow rate, and reliability needed to keep your vessel clean and ready for the next adventure.
