Megaware KeelGuard 20804 4ft Boat Keel Protector Red

The Megaware KeelGuard 20804 is a 4-foot, red do-it-yourself keel protector engineered to shield your boat's hull from the abrasive damage caused by sand, rocks, concrete launch ramps, and oyster beds. Unprotected keel contact can erode the gelcoat finish and allow water to penetrate and compromise the fiberglass laminates beneath — the KeelGuard stops that damage before it starts.

Patented Engineering with 3M® Technology:

• Developed in partnership with boat designers and 3M® engineers for proven performance
• Constructed from a precise, abrasion-resistant blend of polymers and urethanes for optimal durability and pliability
• Bonded with a 3M® acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive that permanently seals the contoured edges to the hull surface
• Patented angled hydrodynamic grooves create air pockets for a lower-drag, slicker running surface — no speed penalty
• 5-inch width for broad keel coverage
• Sized for boats up to 14 feet in length
• Color is UV-stabilized Red for lasting, fade-resistant appearance
• Made in the USA

Easy DIY Installation: The KeelGuard installs in an hour or less and includes a complete application kit with all necessary tools and materials, including a Scotch-Brite pad for surface prep. The contoured edge design eliminates the need for messy sealants and creates a tight, long-lasting bond directly to the hull.

Lifetime Warranty: Megaware guarantees this KeelGuard to the original purchaser against abrasive wear and adhesion failure during normal use for as long as you own the boat.

The KeelGuard is compatible with fiberglass hulls and select aluminum boats. It is not compatible with kayaks, canoes, pontoon tube bottoms, or boats with vinyl wraps. Anti-fouling paint must be removed prior to installation. UPC: 672057208045.
