As it turned out, I ordered the wrong window kit, which is completely my fault, so I will have to pay return shipping and there will be a restock fee. Customer service dealt with my issue promptly once I made contact, but phone contact must not be the preferred method because there was an 18 minute wait to speak to a rep. Sales calls are answered immediately, and I did wish to order the correct part instead, but as soon as I said I needed to return the first item, I was put back on the 18 minute hold without being asked if I wanted to go ahead and place the next order. The person who handled the return also did not ask whether I wanted to order the replacement item, and the only reason I mention this is that they could have applied my refund to the next purchase, but no big deal, each transaction will be a separate entity.
