I ordered 2 gas struts for the trunk supports on my 2008 Taurus, model SEL. The parts received did not fit a Taurus. I sent a complaint to Autoplicity.com and got a reply "You received what you ordered--for an Ford Explorer". That prompted me to recheck the Autoplicity.com web site and discovered it lists the same part number for both a 2008 Taurus and Explorer. Since the parts I received did not fit a Taurus (requires two ball joints for fastening)......they must be for only an Explorer. I wonder how many more errors the Autoplicity web site contains? I also wonder why the Autoplicity customer support people didn't make the simple check I made before sending their snarky reply. Needless to say I returned the parts and requested refund which I'm still waiting for. Sour taste? You betcha!
