RUPP Marine: Raising the Bar in Sportfishing Hardware Since 1980

Few names carry as much weight on the offshore fishing grounds as RUPP Marine. Founded in 1980 by inventor and avid sportfisherman Mickey Rupp in Stuart, Florida, the company grew from a small workshop into one of the most respected manufacturers of sportfishing hardware in the world. Outriggers and their accessories have been at the heart of the brand from the very beginning, and that focus has never wavered. Today, under the next generation of family leadership, RUPP Marine continues its legacy of American craftsmanship and continuous innovation.

What made RUPP Marine stand out from the start was Mickey Rupp's engineering-driven approach to a category that had long been dominated by compromise designs. His outrigger systems prioritized lightweight materials, user-friendly operation, and on-the-water repairability — qualities that resonated immediately with serious captains and tournament anglers. That philosophy still defines every product RUPP makes today.

A Full Lineup Built for Offshore Performance

RUPP Marine's product catalog spans everything a serious sportfishing vessel needs above the waterline. Their outrigger systems and accessories range from the nimble Top Gun series — a popular choice for center consoles and smaller offshore boats — to the towering Bigg Rigg™ and Pro Series systems engineered for large custom sportfishing yachts exceeding 100 feet. Poles are available in cold-drawn stepped aluminum or premium carbon fiber, with lengths stretching from 15 feet to over 55 feet and spreader configurations to match virtually any vessel size or fishing program.

Hydraulic innovation is another pillar of RUPP's modern lineup. The Gen2 Power Rigger™ system brings push-button deployment and retrieval to both new builds and existing outrigger setups, while the flagship AutoDeploy™ feature — exclusive to the Gen2 Hydraulic Outrigger platform — automates the entire process for maximum convenience and safety offshore. The Z90 Outrigger Base adds a precision gear-driven option for anglers who prefer manual control, offering infinite positioning with a single-handle operation that cuts adjustment time dramatically.

Beyond poles and bases, RUPP's extensive rigging accessories — including their legendary Nok-Out® and Zip Clips® release clip lines, halyard rigging kits, pulleys, spreaders, and antenna mounting systems — mean that captains can source nearly their entire topside hardware package from a single trusted brand. Even anglers running downriggers will find RUPP has them covered: the Zip Clips® and select release clip accessories are engineered for downrigger use as well, delivering the same proven tension control and tangle-free performance RUPP is known for across every trolling application.

Why Anglers and Builders Trust RUPP Marine

RUPP Marine's products are found on top private yachts and charter boats around the globe. Leading custom and semi-custom sportfishing boat manufacturers spec RUPP outriggers from the factory — a testament to the brand's engineering credibility. Every major component is designed for serviceability, with RUPP's patented spreader assemblies keeping most repairs manageable on board rather than requiring a haul-out. The newer Pro Series even features individual component serialization, adding a layer of traceability that benefits builders, owners, and service teams alike.

For offshore anglers who demand the best from their gear, RUPP Marine represents more than four decades of focused development, American manufacturing, and an unwavering commitment to putting more fish in the boat.

Easy as pie!

Smooth. I was not even sure what the EGR solenoid looked like, but it got here quickly. Thanks.

quick and easy

Two day shipping shouldn't take 5 days to arrive. If something is in stock, ship it out by the next business day. Come on.

I didn't get the option to enter the coupon code!

Best price for the particular part I was ordering. Their staff/customer service is very helpful and polite, but unfortunately their shipping times are lacking. Before ordering on Monday, I called to verify the item was in stock, and asked what shipping method I would need to ensure it would arrive before Saturday. I was told 2nd Day Air. I ordered that same day (around 1pm). The package wasn't shipped until Wednesday evening, AFTER I called and inquired a to why it hasn't moved. What really upset me though was that the package ended up being shipped UPS Ground anyways, to arrive here the very next day. Long story short, I shouldn't have had to pay the extra $20+.
