The Megaware KeelGuard 27091 SkegGuard is a precision-fit stainless steel skeg protector engineered specifically for select Evinrude E-TEC outboard motors. Whether you're looking to protect a new skeg from damage or repair one that's already broken, the SkegGuard delivers a cost-effective, do-it-yourself solution that installs in under 10 minutes — no welding required.

Key Features:

• Constructed from heavy-duty 18-gauge marine-grade 316 stainless steel with a mirror-polished finish for lasting corrosion resistance
• 3mm thickened lower wear tab provides reinforced protection at the most vulnerable point of the skeg — ideal for boat ramp dragging and river running
• Built-in drain hole prevents water from collecting inside, eliminating the risk of corrosion and freeze damage
• Precision-formed to conform to the lower unit — no drag, no performance compromise
• Installs with as little as 2–3 inches of the original skeg remaining — works on both intact and broken skegs
• Comes complete with self-locking mounting hardware and hex wrenches — no special tools needed
• Backed by a 3-year manufacturer's warranty
