Analytic Systems Battery Chargers: Precision Power for Demanding Applications
Analytic Systems has been engineering power conversion solutions since 1976, and their battery chargers reflect nearly five decades of expertise in demanding marine, military, and industrial environments. Where consumer-grade chargers fall short, Analytic Systems steps in with purpose-built hardware engineered to handle everything from a single recreational battery bank to complex multi-voltage systems in armored vehicles and naval platforms.
AC and DC Source Charging — Maximum Flexibility
Analytic Systems manufactures a wide range of battery chargers that operate from either AC or DC sources, capable of recharging virtually any type of battery from 12 to 72 (rail) volts at power levels from 100 to 1500 watts. This dual-source flexibility is a key differentiator: you're not locked into a shore power connection. Whether you're topping off batteries from a generator, a vehicle's high-voltage DC bus, or standard AC mains, there's an Analytic Systems charger built for the job.
Key Product Series: IBC, BCA, and BCD
The next-generation IBC series chargers are fully Digital Signal Processor controlled and feature Universal Input Voltage from 85 to 264 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz with Active Power Factor Correction for the most efficient use of AC power. Four charging profiles are available with easy front panel selection to handle most battery types from traditional Lead Acid and Sealed Lead Acid to Lithium Ion, and the free-to-download "Power Wizard" software allows full programming and selection of each profile from a laptop computer.
The traditional BCA1000 series delivers 1000 watts of precision charging power for one or two banks of batteries at 12, 24, 32, 36, 48, or 72 (rail) volts DC, with models available to operate from 110 or 220 volts AC at 50, 60, or 400 Hz. The updated BCA design incorporates a Power Factor Corrected (PFC) input stage, allowing the unit to run continuously from 85 to 264 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz with a Power Factor of 0.99 or better from 10% to 100% load.
For DC-source applications, the isolated BCD series features precision charging voltages for one, two, or three banks of batteries at 12, 24, 32, 36, 48, or 72 (rail) volts DC, with models operating from input voltages as low as 10 VDC and up to 400 VDC. All BCD models feature user-selectable 2-stage or 3-stage charging profiles, temperature compensation, and user-initiated battery equalization for optimum charging and maximum battery life.
Built for Reliability in the Field
All Analytic Systems charger models feature heavy EMI filtering to minimize conducted and radiated emissions — preventing interference with sensitive communications equipment — along with no-spark battery connection, reverse battery hookup protection, and adjustable float and absorption voltages. Built-in protection features also include LED status indicators, an input circuit breaker, thermal shutdown, current limiting, and output short circuit shutdown with automatic recovery.
All products are designed to meet or exceed many international testing standards including CSA, UL, ABS, and CE, and the company is experienced in working with military standards including MIL1275, MIL461 (EMC), and MIL810 (environmental). Rugged construction further includes conformal-coated circuit boards, extruded or billet-machined aluminum enclosures, powder coating or hard anodizing, and stainless steel fasteners throughout.
Whether you need a compact single-bank charger for a marine vessel or a high-wattage multi-bank solution for a commercial or military platform, Analytic Systems delivers the kind of engineering depth that keeps critical systems running.
