Product Details

Interlux Micron CSC is a copper-based, controlled solubility copolymer, ablative antifouling paint designed to provide long-lasting protection for boat hulls. The workhorse of the Micron family, it is a general purpose bottom paint, suitable for most boats, except aluminum.

Key Features:

  • Provides excellent, multi-season antifouling protection against all types of fouling
  • Features Controlled Solubility Copolymer chemistry that wears away at a controlled rate while maintaining the design level of biocide at the surface
  • Ablative paints reduce the build-up of old coatings and minimize sanding at reapplication
  • Allows the boat to be hauled and re-launched without recoating
  • Contains 37.2% Cuprous Oxide biocide
  • Can be used in fresh, salt or brackish waters
  • Theoretical coverage is 396 ft²/gallon when brushed or rolled, 264 ft²/gallon when sprayed

As with all ablative antifouling paints, Micron CSC works best on boats that move. Like a bar of soap, ablative paints depend on moving water to erode the surface, exposing fresh biocide. Suitable for fiberglass, wood and properly primed metal boat hulls and parts (not aluminum). This one gallon container comes in black and is ideal for power and sailboats requiring reliable bottom protection.
