The ACR OLAS Float-On is a compact, smart crew overboard system that combines a water-activated strobe with integrated man overboard (MOB) technology. This buoyant LED flashlight automatically activates when its integrated water sensors detect 6 seconds of water contact, triggering a high-power strobe that flashes once per second for up to 20 hours and is visible up to 3 nautical miles away.

Integrated MOB Technology:

When paired with the free ACR OLAS mobile app, the Float-On creates a virtual tether via Bluetooth. If the connection breaks, an audible alarm sounds within 8 seconds and the app records the GPS coordinates of the incident. The app then provides clear visual signals and bearing data to guide the crew back to the exact MOB location, significantly improving recovery chances.

I had no problems at all

Phone contact is poorly administered. Called twice with holding times exceeding 10 minutes only to be cut off when the call advanced to number one in both instances - very, very frustrating and of course, unacceptable. The internet chat was adequate but rather abrupt. However, the transaction was easy and the parts arrived ahead of schedule. The items were difficult to find elsewhere. Had they been easily available they would have been obtained through another company. The transaction through the internet was done well but customer service procedures could use a bit of work.
