SeaMule Flushmaster: Automated Engine Flushing for Outboard Motors
For saltwater and freshwater boaters alike, flushing outboard engines after every outing is one of the most critical — and most skipped — maintenance steps. SeaMule set out to solve that problem with its flagship innovation: the SeaMule Flushmaster, the world's first portable automated outboard flushing system. Rather than standing dockside with a garden hose, boat owners can now connect their motors, press a button, and walk away.
How the Flushmaster Works
The engine flush process couldn't be simpler with the Flushmaster. The device sequentially sends full water pressure through each connected outboard, flushing engines one at a time for a pre-programmed 15 minutes each. Once every motor has been flushed, the device emits a completion sound and automatically shuts off — blocking water flow without any manual intervention needed. Flush cycles are also fully customizable, allowing boaters to adjust duration per outlet simply by holding the "set" button.
The Flushmaster is designed to handle single, dual, triple, and even quad outboard setups, available in 2-outlet and 4-outlet versions with multiple hose length options. It runs on just three AA batteries and connects to any standard freshwater source — a spigot, garden hose, or PVC plumbing.
Built for the Marine Environment
SeaMule engineered the Flushmaster specifically to survive harsh marine conditions. The unit carries an IP67 waterproof certification, meaning it is fully submersible and protected against the saltwater spray, rain, and humidity that quickly degrade lesser hardware. Internally, the device uses saltwater-resistant ABS housing, 316 marine-grade stainless steel components, and airtight rubber gaskets — materials chosen to resist corrosion and maintain reliable performance season after season. The Flushmaster is backed by a 1-year warranty and a 30-day performance guarantee.
Flush Port Quick Connects: Completing the System
SeaMule pairs the Flushmaster controller with a line of Flush Port Quick Connects that permanently replace OEM flush ports on popular outboard brands including Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Honda. Mercury-compatible quick connects feature a secured locking cap and a corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel spring, and are rated for four-stroke Mercury outboards from 75 hp to 500 hp. Yamaha versions feature an extended tip with double O-rings and cover models from 150 to 425 hp. These quick connects eliminate fumbling with stock caps after a long day on the water — hose hookups become one-handed and tool-free.
For boats where the OEM flush port is difficult to reach, SeaMule also offers a Flush Port Reroute accessory that relocates the flush port to a more accessible location inside the boat, further reducing the effort and awkward positioning that traditional flushing requires.
Why Consistent Engine Flushing Matters
Skipping or improperly performing engine flushes can void manufacturer warranties and lead to costly internal corrosion, especially after saltwater use. According to outboard manufacturers, proper flushing should occur immediately after use while engines are still warm, with all passes open for a full 15 minutes. The Flushmaster is factory-programmed to match those exact specifications, making it straightforward to stay compliant with manufacturer recommendations every single time.
Whether docked at a marina, parked at home, or trailering to a ramp, the Flushmaster's portable design travels wherever your boat does, making post-trip maintenance less of a chore and more of a habit.
