Pettit Paint 750Q Express Prime Gray Base Topside Primer Quart

Pettit Paint 750Q Express Prime is a high-build topside primer designed to prepare aged, cracked, checked, or pitted surfaces above the waterline for finish coats. This gray base formulation provides an ideal foundation for marine topside enamels and paints.

• Suitable for fiberglass, wood, properly etched metal, and previously painted surfaces
• Gray base color helps minimize contrast when applying darker finish coats

• Covers approximately 400 square feet per gallon

Application:

• Apply by brush, roller, or spray at temperatures between 50°F and 90°F
• Dries to touch in 1-4 hours depending on temperature
• Recoat time: 2-16 hours based on ambient conditions
• One or two coat application for optimal results

This versatile marine primer is not for use below the waterline. For best results on bare wood surfaces, seal first with Pettit 2018 Clear Sealer before applying Express Prime. The oil-modified alkyd formulation provides excellent adhesion and prepares surfaces for a professional, long-lasting finish.
