Every outboard engine and sterndrive has lubrication points that require an application of grease as part of regular maintenance. Grease acts as both a lubricant between moving parts and as a moisture barrier that keeps water out of those moving parts. Without the right tool to deliver that grease precisely and consistently, even a well-stocked supply of marine-grade lubricant goes to work unevenly — or not at all.
Most machines with moving metal parts require lubrication to protect the joints or bearings, keeping the components running smoothly and extending their life. - Pneumatic (Air-Powered): For heavy-duty work such as in a commercial auto repair shop, a pneumatic grease gun delivers a high amount of controllable power at the press of the lever. These are ideal for high-volume service environments like marinas or fleet maintenance shops.
Grease guns include either flexible hoses or fixed tubes that apply the lubricant, and your choice depends on the task at hand. If you need to reach into tight spots, a flexible hose will give the most versatility. However, if you use two hands to operate a manual grease gun lever, a fixed tube may make a more convenient and controllable option.
