Product Details

Marine Fasteners RP-1573 are 1/2-13 UNC nylon insert lock nuts supplied in a convenient 50-piece pack. These hex lock nuts feature an integrated nylon collar that grips the mating threads and resists loosening caused by vibration, torque, and the constant movement experienced in marine and outdoor environments.

Key Features:

  • Thread Size: 1/2-13 UNC (Unified National Coarse)
  • Locking Mechanism: Nylon insert (also known as Nyloc nut) creates friction against bolt threads to prevent back-off
  • Pack Quantity: 50 pieces per pack
  • Hex nut profile for standard wrench installation
  • Suitable for marine, automotive, RV, and general hardware applications
  • Nylon insert is reusable for a limited number of cycles while maintaining locking performance

Nylon insert lock nuts are a reliable, cost-effective solution for fastener security in applications subject to vibration and dynamic loads. The 1/2-13 thread pitch is one of the most common coarse-thread sizes in marine and powersports hardware, making these nuts a practical bulk-pack staple for any maintenance kit or parts inventory.
