Wichard 1204W Self-Locking D Shackle 8mm 5/16" 316L Stainless Steel

The Wichard 1204W is a self-locking D shackle forged in grade 316L stainless steel, engineered for reliable performance in demanding marine and industrial environments. With a diameter of 8mm (5/16"), this shackle delivers outstanding working and breaking loads in a compact, corrosion-resistant package.

The innovative self-locking pin design seats the pin head into one of several indentations on the shackle body, preventing accidental loosening caused by vibration or dynamic loading. Despite its secure hold, the pin can be released and re-engaged with just a half-turn using a single hand—making it fast and easy to operate underway.

Key Features:

• Drop-forged grade 316L stainless steel construction for superior strength and corrosion resistance
• Self-locking pin locks into indentations on the shackle body—no risk of vibration-induced loosening
• Single-handed operation with a simple half-turn of the pin
• Outstanding working load (WL) for nautical applications
• Working Load Limit (WLL) rated for industrial lifting applications
• Safety factor of 5 times the breaking load
• CE marked in accordance with Machines Directive 2006/42
• Designed and manufactured in France

Ideal for attachment applications including blocks and halyards, the Wichard 1204W self-locking D shackle is a trusted choice for sailors, riggers, and marine professionals who demand safety and reliability without sacrificing convenience.
