Wichard 1405W Captive Pin D Shackle 10mm 316L Stainless Steel

The Wichard 1405W is a captive pin D shackle engineered for demanding marine and sailing applications. Forged from grade 316L stainless steel and passivated for maximum corrosion resistance, this shackle delivers exceptional strength and long-lasting reliability in saltwater environments.

What sets this shackle apart is its captive pin design — the pin remains physically connected to the shackle body at all times, even when fully opened. Combined with Wichard's self-locking detent system, the pin locks securely into precision indentations to prevent accidental backing out due to vibration or shock loads. This design virtually eliminates the risk of dropping the pin overboard and makes the shackle ideal for single-handed operation.
