Wichard 1411W Captive Pin Long D Shackle 316L Stainless Steel 4mm 5/32"

The Wichard 1411W Captive Pin Long D Shackle is a precision-forged marine shackle built for reliability in demanding sailing and rigging applications. Constructed from grade 316L stainless steel, this long-body D shackle is designed for attachment applications where extra length is required, such as connecting to blocks, halyards, and other running rigging components.

The defining feature of the 1411W is its captive pin design — the pin remains permanently connected to the shackle body at all times, even when fully unscrewed. This eliminates the risk of losing the pin overboard or during single-handed operation. The pin is self-locking, seating securely into small indentations on the shackle body to resist vibration-induced loosening.

Key Features:

• Forged in grade 316L stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance in saltwater environments
• Captive pin remains permanently attached to the shackle body — cannot be lost even when opened
• Self-locking pin engages indentations in the shackle body to prevent loosening from vibration
• Long D body profile provides additional length for rigging attachments such as blocks and sail hardware
• Allows single-handed operation for improved safety while underway
• CE marked — meets applicable EU conformity standards
• 4mm (5/32") pin diameter

The Wichard 1411W is ideal for sailors and riggers who require a dependable, non-loss shackle solution for blocks, head fittings, and similar attachment points. Note: Working Load Limit (WLL) ratings are for industrial lifting applications only; a safety factor of 5× the breaking load applies.
