Product Details

The Wichard 1494W Thimble Shackle with Captive Pin is a premium marine-grade shackle designed for sailors and riggers who need a clean, reliable rope termination without extra hardware. Forged from grade 316L stainless steel, this shackle integrates a molded thimble directly into the body, allowing a rope to be spliced directly onto the shackle without the need for a separate thimble.

Key Features:

  • Forged in grade 316L stainless steel for outstanding corrosion resistance in marine environments
  • Integrated thimble design allows rope to be spliced directly — no additional thimble required
  • Captive pin remains attached to the body at all times, eliminating the risk of losing the pin during rigging or at sea
  • Pin diameter: 8mm (5/16")
  • Safe working load (SWL): 2,750 lbs
  • Maximum rope size: 12mm (1/2")
  • Dimension A: 1-5/8" | Dimension B: 5/8"
  • Ideal for mainsheets and halyards

The Wichard 1494W is engineered for performance and reliability on vessels up to 60 feet. Its captive pin design and one-piece thimble/shackle construction reduce rigging complexity while maintaining the high load ratings and build quality that Wichard is known for worldwide.

Product was excellent

Fast shipping, easy website. What more could you need?!?

Great experience! Good price on tires, and fast shipping.

Fast shipping, good price, great communication. Can't ask for more.

This was one of the few places I could find that had these in stock.

Thank you. You are cheaper than West Marine Pro, (although I have to pay shipping,) and faster than Amazon. My poor planning of immediate boat projects, and your products and ease of ordering and two day delivery work well.

Great prices and super fast check out thanks

Great ease of ordering

Fast shipping, easy ordering and great follow up not to forget excellent prices. Will order from them in the future.
