Wichard 1495W Thimble Shackle Captive Pin 10mm 316L Stainless Steel

The Wichard 1495W Thimble Shackle with Captive Pin is a precision-forged marine fitting designed for reliable rope terminations aboard sailboats and powerboats. Manufactured from Grade 316L stainless steel, this shackle integrates a thimble directly into the body, eliminating the need for a separate thimble when splicing or terminating rope—reducing hardware count and potential failure points.

The captive pin design ensures the pin cannot be accidentally lost or come undone under load or vibration, making it well-suited for standing rigging, running rigging, and other critical marine applications where security is essential.

Key Features:

• Forged Grade 316L stainless steel construction for superior corrosion resistance in saltwater environments
• Integrated thimble allows direct rope splicing without an additional separate thimble
• Captive pin prevents accidental disassembly during use
• Rope diameter compatibility: 10mm (13/32")
• Smooth internal thimble radius protects rope fibers and reduces wear
• Designed and manufactured by Wichard, a trusted French marine hardware brand

The Wichard 1495W is ideal for sailors and riggers looking to streamline terminal connections with a single, high-quality fitting that combines shackle and thimble functionality in one forged component.
