Wichard 2476W HR Snap Shackle with Clevis Pin Swivel 3-7/8"

The Wichard 2476W is a 3-7/8" (90mm) HR forged snap shackle featuring a clevis pin swivel, precision-manufactured from Grade 17.4 PH high-resistance stainless steel. Designed for demanding marine applications, this snap shackle combines quick-release functionality with free-rotating swivel action for superior performance on sailboats and other watercraft.

Key Features:

• HR Forged Construction – Hot-drop forged from Grade 17.4 PH high-resistance stainless steel for exceptional strength and reliability
• Clevis Pin Swivel Eye – Allows free rotation of the snap shackle for improved sail orientation and reduced line twist
• Captive Plunger Pin – The plunger pin is permanently set into the hook body and cannot become accidentally detached or lost
• Quick Release – Opens easily under load by pulling the plunger pin; accepts a lanyard for remote or gloved-hand operation
• Passivated Finish – All Wichard snap shackles are hot forged and passivated, eliminating internal structural defects and protecting against oxidation
• Length: 3-7/8" (90mm)

Wichard's 17.4 PH alloy is one of the strongest materials available in marine hardware, offering excellent working and breaking loads. The forged construction ensures that under extreme stress, the shackle will show deformation before failure — never a sudden break. Ideal for halyards, tethers, spinnaker gear, and other critical rigging applications where dependable quick-release performance is essential.
