Product Details

The Wichard 2478W is a high-performance HR Snap Shackle with Clevis Pin Swivel, measuring 120mm (4-23/32") in length. Precision forged from Grade 17-4 PH stainless steel, this snap shackle is engineered for demanding marine and sailing applications where reliable, quick-release performance is essential.

The integrated clevis pin swivel allows free rotation of the snap shackle body, eliminating line twist and reducing stress on attached running rigging. Wichard's HR (High Resistance) series is widely trusted for spinnaker halyards, gennaker tacks, and other critical load-bearing points aboard racing and cruising vessels.

Key Features:

  • HR Forged Construction — manufactured from Grade 17-4 PH stainless steel for superior strength and corrosion resistance
  • Clevis Pin Swivel — allows free 360° rotation of the shackle body to prevent line twist
  • Quick-Release Mechanism — reliable snap shackle design for fast, single-handed release under load
  • 120mm (4-23/32") Overall Length — compact profile suitable for a range of rigging applications
  • Marine Grade Stainless Steel — built to withstand harsh saltwater environments
  • Designed and manufactured by Wichard, a trusted French marine hardware brand

The Wichard 2478W is an ideal choice for sailors and riggers who require a dependable, swiveling snap shackle for performance racing or offshore cruising hardware setups.

Great service!

Fast shipping products exactly as described would definitely shop with again

As always great experience. I have ordered from this place in the past and have never had a bad experience. Much appreciation to this company and the people who work there. Thanks again.

Service and support were great, order arrived quickly and in good shape.

I bought my item from them due to the original site I bought from kept telling me my item was back ordered and didnt know when they would have one. It was easy and painless to order and received my item in a timely matter. The price was good especially seeing what other sites were charging, not the lowest price but we'll worth the extra 20 bucks I paid. Will buy from them again if they have what I need.

easy, best price
