The OMC 0385043 is an OEM forward gear thrust bearing assembly designed for 4-cylinder OMC Cobra and Stringer sterndrive lower unit gearcases. This genuine Bombardier/OMC factory part provides precise axial load control on the forward gear within the gearcase, helping to maintain proper gear alignment and smooth engagement during operation.
This thrust bearing is specifically engineered for 4-cylinder Cobra lower unit gearcases featuring the smaller propeller hub with a 3-3/4 inch inside diameter. It is also found on OMC Stringer 400 series gearcases from the late 1970s through the early 1980s.
