The OMC 0765549 is an OEM-grade system matched ignition switch designed as a direct replacement for Johnson and Evinrude outboard motors. Built by Outboard Marine Corporation (OMC) — also marketed under the BRP brand — this switch delivers reliable engine starting and control with the same fit, form, and function as the original factory component.
This marine ignition switch features a three-position rotary design (Off – Run – Start) with a push-to-choke function for easy priming during cold starts. The assembly incorporates multiple internal switch circuits: one that routes battery voltage as the key rotates, one that activates the choke circuit when the key is pushed inward, and a magneto kill circuit that grounds the ignition when the key is turned to the Off position.
