The OMC 5006252 Valve Reed Block Assembly is a genuine OEM replacement reed valve assembly designed for Evinrude and Johnson V6 two-stroke outboard engines equipped with FICHT RAM Direct Injection fuel systems. The reed block assembly serves as a critical intake component, housing the reed petals (leaf valves) that regulate airflow into the engine's crankcase — a key function in maintaining efficient two-stroke combustion and throttle response.
This assembly is compatible with V6 90-degree FICHT direct injection outboard engines across two block configurations: the 3.685" bore (3.0L/183 CI) transitional block and the dedicated 3.854" bore (3.3L/200 CI) FICHT/E-TEC block. Cross-reference part numbers include 05006252 and reed valve reference 397336 / 0397336.
