Wichard Captive Pin Twisted Shackle Stainless Steel Shackles

The Wichard Captive Pin Twisted Shackle is a stainless steel marine shackle for rigging setups that need a 90° twist between connection points. Examples include attaching a block to a rail or connecting a line to a perpendicular deck fitting. The pin stays attached to the shackle body when it's unscrewed, so it can't be dropped overboard during handling.

Key Features:

• Captive pin design: The pin stays connected to the shackle body even when fully opened.
• Self-locking pin: The pin head seats in one of the indentations in the shackle body. This helps resist loosening from vibration.
• One-handed operation: The shackle can be opened and closed with one hand.
• 316L stainless steel: The shackles are forged from marine-grade 316L stainless steel for corrosion resistance and strength.
• 90° twisted shape: The body is twisted a quarter turn so loads transfer cleanly between components mounted at right angles.

Wichard twisted shackles are used in sailing rigging and other demanding marine and industrial applications. Check the working load and breaking load for your chosen size. Some models in this line are not intended for lifting applications.
