Wichard HR Quick Release Snap Shackle with Large Bail Fixed Eye Snaps

The Wichard HR Quick Release Snap Shackle with Large Bail is a forged stainless steel snap shackle for marine rigging. It opens when you pull the lanyard, so you can release a load quickly, even under tension. The large swivel bail makes it a good fit for attaching several lines at once, such as spinnaker sheets and guys, genoa sheets and halyards. It is a quick release snap shackle with a swivel eye, often listed as a snap hook or fixed eye snap.

Key Features:

• HR forged 17-4 PH stainless steel: High Resistance construction gives strong mechanical performance and corrosion resistance in marine conditions.
• Lanyard-activated quick release: A pull on the lanyard opens the shackle. You can also rig a control line to release it remotely or keep crew hands away from high-load connections.
• Large bail: The bail is sized to take multiple lines or larger line diameters.
• Free-rotating swivel: The swivel helps keep sheets from twisting.
• Smooth oval profile: The shape has no sharp edges that could snag lines or sails.
• Strong working and breaking loads: The shackles are made for demanding sailing and rigging use. They are available in a range of sizes.
• Made in France: Wichard manufactures its HR snap shackles in France.

This shackle suits sailboat rigging, racing and cruising applications that need dependable, fast release hardware.
