Seastar Solutions TFXtreme Gen II Mercury Control Cable

The Seastar Solutions TFXtreme Gen II Mercury Control Cable is a marine shift and throttle control cable. It is a drop-in replacement for Mercury, Mariner and MerCruiser engines that use Mercury 4000 series (Gen II) controls from 2003 to date. It reuses your existing connection components, so you can swap out a worn or stiff cable without changing the rest of the control system. The line was formerly sold as Teleflex Marine cable.

Key Features:

• Patented splined core: a 10-contact-point cable core lets the inner cable glide smoothly in both directions. It gives easy movement with minimal lost motion.
• Built for the marine environment: the heavy-duty black HDPE outer casing is about 0.34 in. in diameter. It resists UV, salt water, oil, gasoline and other chemicals.
• Corrosion-resistant fittings: stainless steel and brass end fittings.
• Flexible routing: the minimum bend radius is 4 in. This suits complex or long cable runs and reduces drag and wear on the control.
• Drop-in replacement: replaces OEM Mercury, Mariner and MerCruiser shift and throttle cables.

Choosing a length: To replace an existing cable, measure it tip to tip and round up to the next foot. For a new outboard installation, measure the cable routing path, round up to the next foot, then add 4 feet for a loop at the engine to prevent kinking. For a new inboard or stern drive installation, measure the routing path and round up to the next even foot. Cables are available in 1-foot increments.

Seastar Solutions (Dometic) cables give smooth, precise control and long service life in demanding marine conditions.
