Seastar Solutions CCX18907 TFXtreme Gen II Mercury Control Cable 7ft

The Seastar Solutions CCX18907 is a 7-foot TFXtreme Gen II marine control cable engineered as a direct drop-in replacement for Mercury 4000 series control systems. Built on SeaStar's patented XTREME splined-core technology, this cable delivers the best of both worlds: effortless movement and minimum lost motion — a combination traditional cables cannot achieve.

Traditional control cables force a trade-off between a stiff, tight-fitting core that reduces lost motion but is hard to operate, and a loose, flexible core that moves easily but feels sloppy. The TFXtreme's splined core eliminates that compromise entirely. Raised ridges along the core maintain close contact with the inner liner while minimizing friction, allowing the core to glide smoothly even through complex or extended cable runs.

Key Features:

• Patented splined core — minimizes contact points between core and liner for effortless, precise throttle and shift feel
• 4-inch minimum bend radius — half the bend radius of standard cables, ideal for tight routing in complex installations
• 0.34-inch Super Tough HDPE jacket — highly resistant to UV, abrasion, saltwater, gasoline, oil, and chemicals
• Oil-tempered lay wires — provide superior strength and long-term performance
• Stainless steel and brass fittings — corrosion-resistant hardware for lasting marine durability
• Gen II Mercury fitment — designed for Mariner, Mercury, and Mercruiser engines using Mercury 2003-to-current 4000 series controls
• Lubed-for-life HDPE liner — ultra-smooth operation with no maintenance required
• Available in 1-foot increments across the full CCX189 series

All SeaStar Solutions control cables meet or exceed ABYC safety standards and ISO/IMCI/NMMA certification requirements, and are backed by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. The CCX18907 also replaces legacy Teleflex CC18907 cables, making it a straightforward upgrade for existing installations.
