The ARP 134-7901 Oil Pump Driveshaft Kit is designed to prevent catastrophic engine failure caused by oil pump driveshaft breakage. This heavy-duty replacement shaft provides the reliability needed for high-performance and demanding applications.

Key Features:

  • Constructed from heat-treated premium grade 8740 aerospace chrome moly steel
  • Larger diameter than OEM units for increased strength
  • Heat-treated to 190,000 psi tensile strength
  • Unique roll-formed alignment sleeve (not welded or pinned) allows the sleeve to float and compensate for slight misalignment
  • Engineered to handle added torque from high-capacity oil pumps and heavy viscosity lubricants

ARP's advanced manufacturing process ensures the alignment sleeve is securely attached while maintaining flexibility to accommodate minor misalignment between the distributor and oil pump. This design prevents binding and premature wear that can lead to failure.

Important Installation Note: Always verify proper clearances between the shaft and block, as well as between the pump and distributor before installation.
