Brandmotion: Engineering Safer Roads, One Vehicle at a Time

Brandmotion is a Novi, Michigan-based automotive technology company with a singular mission: eliminate traffic deaths through smarter, more accessible vehicle safety technology. Founded in 2006 as a spin-off from Tier 1 automotive supplier Johnson Controls, Brandmotion has spent nearly two decades designing and integrating retrofit driver-assistance systems that bring modern safety features to vehicles of any age or make.

What sets Brandmotion apart is its roots in the Motor City. Brandmotion's products are engineered by automotive professionals who understand OEM integration at a deep level — meaning their aftermarket systems don't feel like bolted-on afterthoughts. Instead, they blend seamlessly with a vehicle's existing electronics and aesthetics, delivering a factory-quality experience at a fraction of the cost of a new vehicle upgrade. The company backs this quality with a two-year warranty and US-based customer support.

The breadth of Brandmotion's catalog spans consumer passenger vehicles, commercial fleets, RVs, and towing applications. Their product lines include advanced vision systems, proximity sensors, collision avoidance technology, and much more — all developed with one goal in mind: giving drivers a complete, unobstructed picture of their surroundings.

Brandmotion's Core Safety Product Lines

At the heart of Brandmotion's lineup are park assist cameras — high-definition rearview and front-view camera systems that auto-activate when you shift into reverse or approach an obstacle. These cameras are engineered to integrate directly with a vehicle's factory display or an aftermarket monitor, offering crisp, clear imagery that makes tight parking situations far less stressful.

Brandmotion also leads the aftermarket space with blind spot detection systems. Using radar-based technology, their systems detect vehicles, pedestrians, and objects hiding in adjacent lanes and alert the driver through visual and optional audible warnings — making lane changes and highway merges dramatically safer. Their FullVUE Rear Camera Mirror and SurroundVUE™ 360° systems further extend this coverage by stitching together multiple camera feeds into a seamless overhead view of the vehicle's entire environment.

Rounding out the parking safety ecosystem are Brandmotion's parking aid sensors. Research shows that parking sensors can reduce rear collisions significantly, and in combination with a camera, the reduction in crash rates is even more dramatic. Brandmotion offers front and rear sensor configurations compatible with a wide range of passenger vehicles and heavy-duty commercial applications.

For drivers who want a fully integrated solution, Brandmotion offers park assist camera and interior rear view mirror kits that combine the functionality of a backup camera with an upgraded mirror display — all in one streamlined package. Paired with their line of video monitors, these systems deliver a complete driver-assistance upgrade that transforms the cockpit experience without requiring a new vehicle.
