About Walex Products Company

Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Leland, North Carolina, Walex Products Company has spent nearly four decades perfecting the science of odor control and sanitation. As a privately held company with deep roots in the portable sanitation and recreational vehicle industries, Walex has grown into a globally recognized name trusted by weekend campers, full-time RVers, marine enthusiasts, and commercial sanitation operators alike.

What sets Walex apart is their unwavering commitment to performance-driven, eco-conscious formulations. From packaging choices to the chemistry inside each product, the brand works to minimize environmental impact without compromising effectiveness. The result is a lineup of solutions that are biodegradable, formaldehyde-free, and built to perform even in extreme heat and demanding conditions.

Holding Tank Treatments – The Cornerstone of the Brand

Walex is perhaps best known for its industry-leading RV Water Holding Tank Treatments. The flagship Porta-Pak® line — widely regarded as the number-one portion-control RV tank treatment in the world — features proprietary WAVE2® odor control technology delivered in convenient, water-soluble drop-in packets. These pre-measured sachets dissolve quickly, eliminating the mess of liquid treatments while breaking down waste and tissue, lubricating valves, and cleaning tank sensors. Whether you are boondocking in triple-digit summer heat or parked at a full-hookup resort, Walex holding tank treatments are engineered to keep odors at bay for up to seven days.

Freshening the Air, Inside and Out

Beyond the tank, Walex extends its odor-fighting expertise to the cabin itself. Their Air Fresheners & Odor Eliminators and Odor Eliminator products work to neutralize unpleasant smells at the source rather than simply masking them with heavy perfumes — a philosophy that reflects the brand's broader approach to genuine odor science.

Keeping Exteriors Spotless

Life on the road inevitably leaves its mark. Rain runoff, oxidation, road grime, and bug residue all conspire to create the stubborn dark streaks that plague RV sidewalls. Walex addresses this with a purpose-built Black Streak Remover formulated specifically for RV and marine exterior surfaces. Designed with a stain-fighting blend that delivers professional-grade results without damaging finishes, it works equally well on motorhomes, travel trailers, and boat hulls.

Specialty Cleaners for Every Need

Rounding out the lineup, Walex Specialty Cleaners offer targeted solutions for the unique cleaning challenges that RV and marine owners face — from interior surfaces to gray-water holding systems. Products like the Assure™ cleaner with built-in odor eliminator demonstrate how Walex combines cleaning power with odor control in a single step, reducing the number of products you need to carry on board.
