The Blue Sea Systems Add-A-Battery kit is designed for boaters adding a second battery to support additional electronics, trolling motors, or upgraded audio systems. This complete dual battery management system combines an automatic charging relay (ACR) and a dual circuit battery switch to ensure reliable power distribution and emergency backup capability.

Intelligent Battery Management:

The included 7610 Automatic Charging Relay allows both batteries to charge simultaneously from a single charging source without the voltage drop associated with traditional battery isolators. The ACR automatically isolates the house battery during engine starts to protect sensitive electronics, then reconnects both batteries once charging voltage is detected. This intelligent system requires no external regulators or manual intervention.

Dual Circuit Plus Battery Switch:

The 5511e e-Series Dual Circuit Plus switch provides sophisticated control of your dual battery system. In the ON position, both batteries remain charged and available, but power distribution is separated—house loads draw from the house battery while starting circuits use the start battery. This prevents accidentally draining your starting battery by running accessories. The emergency combine feature allows you to draw power from both batteries when extra cranking power is needed or to make an emergency radio call.
