Marelon Elbows provide a cost-effective, corrosion-resistant method of joining pipe or a fitting at an angle to hose.
Molded from lightweight, high-strength Marelon, these 90° Elbows are highly resistant to corrosion, UV degradation and abrasion. Their NPS parallel threads can be sealed with Teflon® tape or plumber's putty. Any marine-grade sealant or bedding compound can be used as you would with bronze fittings. In fact, Marelon and bronze fittings can be fitted together as long as you are careful not to cross thread. Marelon is UV stabilized and will not deteriorate in sunlight. These elbows can be used above- or below-the-waterline and exceed Marine UL and ABYC standards.
Marelon 90° Elbows feature hose barbs on one end (size given as inside diameter or ID) and either female NPS threads or male NPS threads on the other end. Threads are parallel "NPS," which stands for "Nominal Pipe Size."
