Product Details

The Martyr Anodes CM821631A is a premium aluminum gimbal housing anode designed to protect Mercury Mercruiser Alpha I and Alpha I Gen II stern drives from galvanic corrosion in salt and brackish water environments. This replacement anode is equivalent to Mercury OEM part number 43994 and provides essential corrosion protection for your outdrive's gimbal housing.

Key Features:

  • Manufactured from high-purity aluminum alloy meeting US Mil-Spec MIL-A-18001L standards
  • Designed to fit Mercury Mercruiser Alpha I and Alpha I Gen II outdrives
  • Engineered to erode inward for consistent performance and easy visual inspection
  • Aluminum material optimized for salt and brackish water applications
  • Includes mounting hardware for secure installation
  • OEM equivalent quality at aftermarket value

Specifications:

  • Length: 4 inches
  • Width: 3 inches
  • Center-to-Center Hole Spacing: 1-3/8 inches
  • Weight: Approximately 2.0 lbs

Martyr anodes should be replaced when they reach 70% erosion to maintain optimal corrosion protection. Always verify propeller clearance after installing new anodes to ensure proper operation. This gimbal housing anode is a critical component for protecting your stern drive investment from the damaging effects of electrolysis in marine environments.
