The SeaStar Solutions SS14109 Back Mount Rack Steering System delivers precise, responsive steering control for power-assisted sterndrive and outboard boats up to 24 feet. This complete single-cable rack and pinion steering kit features a unique back mount design that allows fast, easy installation from behind the dashboard without requiring dash modifications.

• 4.0 turns lock-to-lock for precise steering control and comfortable feel
• 9-foot SSC13409 rack steering cable with armored stranded core for durability
• Back mount helm (SH95210P) installs easily from behind the dash
• 90-degree bezel (SB39526P) and all mounting hardware included
• Standard 3/4" tapered steering wheel shaft (wheel sold separately)
• Stainless steel cable output ends resist corrosion in marine environments
• Mounting hardware fits standard Teleflex and Morse rack holes
• Rack-to-helm mounting centers: 1-5/8" x 2-1/4"

Designed for single-station use only on power-assisted boats where No-FeedBack systems are not required. The pinion gear engages a pre-assembled rack and cable for minimized steering effort. Suitable for boats with steering wheels up to 16" diameter. Meets ABYC safety standards and NMMA certification requirements. This system is a drop-in replacement for 1984-present Teleflex "The Rack" steering systems and Morse Command 200 rack systems.

Note: For dual cable systems or non-power-assisted applications, SeaStar Solutions recommends upgrading to an NFB (No-FeedBack) steering system. Cannot be used with old style SSC124xx rack cables.
