Product Details

The SeaStar Solutions SS14111 is a complete mechanical rack and pinion steering system designed for single-station power-assisted sterndrive and inboard/outboard boats. This back mount design allows for fast, easy installation from behind the dash and delivers precise, comfortable steering control where No FeedBack systems are not required.

Key Features:

  • 4 turns lock-to-lock for precise steering control
  • Standard 3/4" round tapered steering shaft fits wheels up to 16" diameter
  • Stainless steel cable output ends for corrosion resistance
  • Back mount design installs easily behind the dash with included mounting hardware
  • Replaces 1984-present Teleflex "The Rack" steering without dash modification
  • Meets A.B.Y.C. standards and N.M.M.A. certification requirements

Applications: Suitable for power-assisted sterndrive boats up to 24 feet in length and outboard motors up to V-4 configuration with tilt tube and link arm. For single station use only.

Complete Kit Includes: SH5210P rack steering helm, SB39526P 90-degree bezel kit, SSC13411 11-foot back mount steering cable, mounting hardware, and installation instructions.

Note: SSC124xx old style rack cables cannot be used with this system. Dual cable configurations are available separately, though No Feedback (NFB) systems are recommended for non-power-assisted outboard applications.
