Sierra 18-6156M Magnesium Anode Kit for Mercury Verado 4-Cylinder Outboard

The Sierra 18-6156M is a complete magnesium anode kit designed specifically for Mercury Verado 4-cylinder outboard engines. Sierra's marine-grade anodes provide reliable cathodic protection, sacrificing themselves to prevent corrosion on your engine's metal components — a critical maintenance item for any boat operating in freshwater environments.

Why Magnesium?

Magnesium anodes are the preferred choice for freshwater use. They offer a more active electrochemical potential than zinc or aluminum anodes, making them highly effective at protecting engine components in low-conductivity freshwater conditions where zinc anodes may become passive and fail to protect adequately.

Key Features:

• Designed as a direct OEM-replacement anode kit for Mercury Verado 4-cylinder outboards
• Constructed from high-purity magnesium alloy for maximum sacrificial protection in freshwater
• Complete kit includes all anodes needed to fully protect the engine
• Sierra International quality — a trusted name in marine replacement parts
• Helps prevent galvanic corrosion on lower unit, trim tabs, and other vulnerable metal surfaces
• Easy drop-in installation with no modifications required

Sierra International is a leading aftermarket supplier of marine engine parts, offering products that meet or exceed OEM specifications. Regular anode replacement is essential to extending the life of your outboard motor and protecting your investment.
