Sierra Anode Kit Magnesium for Marine Engines

Sierra magnesium anode kits are sacrificial anodes for marine engines. They help protect submerged metal parts from galvanic corrosion. Sierra is a well-known supplier of marine engine replacement parts, and these anode kits are made for outboard, sterndrive and inboard applications. Replacing worn anodes on schedule helps protect your engine's metal components and extends engine life.

Key Features:

• Magnesium construction: Magnesium is the usual choice for fresh water and is often used in brackish conditions. It corrodes in place of the engine's aluminum and other metals.
• Sacrificial corrosion protection: The anode wears away first, which reduces damage to the lower unit, drive housings and other submerged components.
• Replacement kit design: The kits are designed as direct replacements for worn anodes on marine engines.
• Routine maintenance item: Inspect anodes regularly and replace them when they have eroded significantly.

Choose the child item that matches your engine application from the options on this page. Fresh water boaters commonly use magnesium anodes. Salt water use often calls for a different anode material, so check your engine manufacturer's recommendation.
