Megaware KeelGuard 20212 12ft Black DIY Boat Keel Protector

The Megaware KeelGuard 20212 is the original, patented do-it-yourself keel protector, delivering 12 feet of heavy-duty abrasion resistance to shield your boat's hull from sand, rocks, concrete ramps, and oyster beds. Unprotected keel wear breaks down the gelcoat finish and allows water to penetrate and destroy fiberglass laminates — the KeelGuard stops damage at the source.

Key Features:

• Abrasion-resistant polymer and urethane composite — engineered for optimal durability and pliability, absorbing impacts that would otherwise damage your hull
• 3M pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive — permanently bonds and seals the KeelGuard's self-sealing contoured edges directly to the hull surface, no messy sealants required
• Hydrodynamic drag reduction channels — angled grooves create air pockets for a slicker surface, so your boat's performance is not compromised
• UV-stabilized black finish — color is protected against fading for the life of the product
• Made in the USA — developed in collaboration with boat designers and 3M engineers
• DIY installation — complete install kit included; no specialized tools or marine labor required
• Lifetime warranty — guaranteed against abrasive wear and adhesion failure for as long as you own your boat

The 12-foot length is recommended for boats up to 30 feet and is ideal for the most common recreational and fishing vessel size range. Installation must be performed on the bare hull surface — not over vinyl wraps, anti-fouling paint, or boat bottom paint. Not recommended for pontoons, most catamarans, kayaks, canoes, or personal watercraft.
