Martyr Anodes CMX10M 2-1/4" Magnesium Shaft Anode

The Martyr Anodes CMX10M is a 2-1/4" diameter magnesium shaft anode designed to provide cathodic protection for boat propeller shafts in freshwater environments. Magnesium anodes are the preferred choice for freshwater use, offering superior electrochemical activity compared to zinc or aluminum anodes in low-conductivity water.

Martyr Anodes are manufactured to meet or exceed MIL-SPEC standards, ensuring consistent alloy composition and reliable corrosion protection for your drivetrain components. The CMX10M mounts directly to the propeller shaft, sacrificing itself to protect more expensive metal components from galvanic corrosion.

Key Features:

• Material: High-purity magnesium alloy — optimized for freshwater use
• Shaft Diameter: 2-1/4" (fits 2.25" propeller shafts)
• Type: Clamp-on collar shaft anode
• Meets MIL-SPEC alloy standards for maximum anode efficiency
• Protects propeller shafts from galvanic and electrolytic corrosion
• Includes stainless steel hardware for secure mounting

Replace this anode when it has been reduced to approximately 50% of its original size to maintain continuous protection. The CMX10M is part of Martyr's comprehensive line of magnesium anodes engineered for reliable performance in freshwater lakes, rivers, and marinas.
