Martyr Anodes Shaft Anode Zinc

Martyr Anodes Streamlined Zinc Shaft Anodes are sacrificial shaft zincs. They protect propeller shafts and other underwater metal parts from galvanic corrosion on boats used in salt water. The zinc corrodes in place of your more valuable metal parts, which helps prevent pitting and metal loss.

Key Features:

• Two-piece interlocking design: The halves fit together snugly and make full circular contact with the shaft, which supports good electrical continuity.
• Extra zinc around the fasteners: More material around the screws helps extend the usable life of the anode.
• Retaining hardware: Bolt-retaining washers keep the screws from falling out during installation. Stainless steel slotted-head screws let you install with a flat-head screwdriver.
• Easy installation: You can install these anodes underwater.
• Mil-spec zinc alloy: The alloy is made to meet or exceed US Military Specification MIL-DTL-18001L. It erodes inward, so the anode takes on a sandblasted look as it wears.

Check your anodes regularly and replace them once they are about 70% eroded. Zinc anodes are intended for salt water use. Choose the model that matches your shaft diameter.
