Wichard MXLEvo Soft Block Rope Size Blocks

The Wichard MXLEvo soft block (also called a soft pulley or Dyneema loop block) is a compact, lightweight rope block for heavy-load marine rigging. It suits both amateur and professional sailors. It has no sheave, so it needs no moving parts. A Dyneema loop attaches it to an anchor point.

Key Features:

• Duplex stainless steel and Dyneema construction: it combines a duplex stainless steel body with a Dyneema loop for strength at low weight.
• Compact and lightweight: Wichard says it is stronger than a standard competing block while weighing less and taking up less space.
• No moving parts: with no sheave, it needs no maintenance.
• Easy to install: it comes with its Dyneema loop and fits quickly on anchor points such as chain plates and head ropes. No specialist knowledge is needed.
• Integrated rope housing: it keeps the rope inside the block when the system is unloaded.
• Designed for heavy loads: it is intended for heavier loads at low rope speeds.

Typical Applications:

• Mast foot block
• Halyard block and halyard tackle
• Barber hauler
• Purchase and block and tackle systems
• Sheet return
• Mainsail outhaul and large sail foot
• Snatch block

The MXLEvo line comes in several rope sizes, so you can match the block to your line. It is an economical way to handle high loads on cruising and racing yachts.
