About Blue Sea Systems

Blue Sea Systems has been a defining force in marine and specialty vehicle electrical systems since its founding in 1992 in Bellingham, Washington. Built on a straightforward but demanding mission — to improve the safety, simplicity, and reliability of onboard electrical systems — the brand has grown into one of the most trusted names among boaters, professional marine installers, RV enthusiasts, and specialized vehicle builders worldwide.

Blue Sea Systems develops and manufactures a comprehensive range of AC and DC electrical products engineered to withstand the harshest conditions on the water and the road. Moisture, vibration, extreme temperatures, and corrosive salt air are everyday realities in marine environments, and every Blue Sea product is designed with those challenges in mind. Their components are built to meet or exceed ABYC, NMMA, and U.S. Coast Guard electrical standards, giving owners and installers confidence that the system will perform when it matters most.

What Blue Sea Systems Makes

The Blue Sea catalog spans the full scope of onboard power management. At its core are three foundational product families that protect and control electrical systems on virtually any vessel or specialized vehicle:

Circuit Breakers — A broad selection of magnetic-hydraulic and thermal designs for both main and branch circuit protection in AC and DC systems. Blue Sea's trip-free designs are engineered to resist nuisance tripping from engine room heat, making them a staple in high-end marine electrical panels.

Fuse Blocks — From the ever-popular ST Blade Fuse Block, which consolidates multiple branch circuits into a single organized hub, to high-interrupt Class T fuse blocks rated for inverters and large battery banks, Blue Sea offers a fuse block solution for virtually every application.

Battery Switching — Blue Sea's battery switches and manual battery switches are considered the industry standard for isolating and controlling battery banks on boats of all sizes. Their m-Series and ML-Series switches cover everything from day boats to offshore yachts, while the Dual Circuit Plus™ design lets operators manage both start and house banks with a single control.

Beyond these core categories, Blue Sea also produces automatic charging relays (ACRs), busbars, power distribution panels including their modular Custom 360 Panel system, metering and monitoring devices, and power conversion products. The breadth of the catalog means an entire vessel's electrical system — from battery to breaker to branch circuit — can be built around a single, cohesive Blue Sea platform.

Engineering Philosophy and Standards Compliance

What sets Blue Sea Systems apart is a relentless focus on engineering precision. Products are designed in the USA and manufactured to align with ABYC E-11 (AC & DC Electrical Systems on Boats) and relevant U.S. Coast Guard regulations. The brand also offers a broad single-pole circuit breaker lineup that directly satisfies CFR 46 Coast Guard requirements, removing ambiguity from compliance decisions. Blue Sea further supports installers with online tools like the Circuit Wizard and Panel Wizard, plus an extensive library of wiring diagrams and technical articles — resources that reflect a company invested in the success of every installation, not just the sale of a component.

Whether you are wiring a simple center console, refitting a bluewater cruiser, or building out an overland vehicle, Blue Sea Systems provides the components and the technical foundation to do it right.

The Blue Sea Systems M-ACR (Mini Automatic Charging Relay) is designed specifically for boats with outboard engines and small inboard engines equipped with 65 amp or less alternators. This intelligent relay automatically manages dual battery systems, making it ideal when adding a second battery to support larger stereos, trolling motors, fishfinders, or other marine electronics.

The M-ACR combines both batteries during charging for maximum efficiency, then automatically isolates the house battery during engine starts to protect sensitive electronics from voltage drops and electrical noise. Unlike traditional battery isolators, the ACR shares charging sources without creating voltage drop, ensuring both batteries receive optimal charging.

Key Features:

 • Automatic dual battery management without external regulators or complex wiring
 • Start isolation protection safeguards electronics during engine cranking
 • Ignition protected design allows safe installation in gasoline engine compartments
 • LED indicator light displays real-time ACR operating status
 • Compact 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" x 2 5/8" footprint fits space-limited installations
 • Compatible with Blue Sea Systems 360 panel systems
 • Backed by Blue Sea Systems lifetime warranty

Technical Specifications:

 • Nominal voltage: 12V or 24V systems
 • Continuous rating: 65A
 • Intermittent rating: 115A for 2 minutes
 • Operating current: 90mA combined, 15mA open
 • Closing voltage: 13.6V/27.2V (30 second delay)
 • Opening voltage: 12.75V/25.5V (30 second delay)
 • Terminal stud size: 1/4 inch
 • Recommended cable size: 1/0 AWG to meet full rating
 • Over-voltage lockout: 16V at 12V, 32V at 24V
 • Under-voltage lockout: 5V at 12V, 19V at 24V

Simple installation requires no external regulators or additional wiring, making it an ideal plug-and-play solution for recreational boaters upgrading to dual battery systems.

I sent my order for some comp cams lifters on Monday 1-16-2012 at around 8:30 and the Item was still shipped on the next day Tuesday. This was awesome. I received my product on 1-19-2012. They have had the fastest turn around time that I have ever delt with. I would highly recommend them for your auto parts needs. They also had the cheapest price I could fine, including the shipping fee.
I like the fact that they sent me an e-mail that my item had shipped and gave the shipping number for tracking.

So far experience is good, will see if parts show up as they say.

Thank you

Best price by far! Quick shipping great service. Will certainly do business with them again.

very good

easy website with great search engine and amazon check-out

very fast and easy.

using amazon pay is easy I was not able to track the UPS shipment until the day of delivery. Maybe the number did not scan correctly at the time of shipment. Customer service did show it was shipped on time, and it arrived quickly.

Everything was good

I purchased a wiring connector and some additional wiring pins. Super fast shipping. Likely to buy from again.
