Panther 35SS625 Safe-Skeg Stainless Steel Outboard Skeg Protector

The Panther Safe-Skeg (35SS625) is a stainless steel cover that installs directly over your outboard engine's existing skeg, providing durable protection against impact damage or restoring a chipped and damaged skeg to like-new condition. Whether you're shielding a new skeg from future harm or repairing one that's already taken a hit, the Safe-Skeg offers a fast, cost-effective alternative to expensive skeg welding or lower unit replacement.

The skeg is the fin-shaped component at the lowest point of your outboard motor. It acts as a rudder to keep your boat tracking straight and turns accurately — and because of its position, it's highly susceptible to damage from rocks and submerged obstacles. The Safe-Skeg guards against this vulnerability while also helping protect your propeller from impact damage.
