The Sierra 18-5433 Ignition Coil is a high-quality aftermarket replacement for marine inboard and sterndrive applications with conventional breaker point ignition systems. Designed for 12-volt marine engines, this coil delivers reliable spark performance for MerCruiser, Mercury, OMC, Crusader, and Volvo Penta applications.

Technical Specifications:

  • Primary resistance: 1.550/0.450 Ohms
  • Secondary resistance: 9,370/7,650 Ohms
  • Inductance: 6.45/5.31 MHY
  • Requires external resistor for proper operation
  • Compatible with 12-volt marine ignition systems

Application:

  • MerCruiser 3.0L (1991 and up), 5.7L EFI (1996 and up), 7.4L EFI (1995 and up)
  • 4-cylinder, V-6, and V-8 engines with conventional ignition
  • Select outboard applications
  • Atomic Four with resistor (1969-1970) and Super Sabre (1948-1970)

Excellent experience. Cheapest price I could possibly find, reasonable shipping cost (other people tried to charge upwards of $20 where I was only charged $14).
